Margery Allingham
'Margery Allingham was a prolific writer who sold her first story at the age of eight and published her first novel before turning 20. Her addictive crime novels are a mix of Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers and brought her fame and popularity in the 1920s and 1930s when she helped to bring the crime novel to maturity.
Her works are now reissued in a wonderfully retro package from Vintage Books.
