Political Book Awards 2013 - Random House authors shortlisted

Random House authors have been shortlisted in a number of categories  for the Paddy Power and Total Politics Political Book Awards which seek to recognise the very best in political writing and publishing. Winners across nine categories will be chosen by a panel of political celebrity judges.

Shortlisted Random House Group titles are:

·         Nancy: The Story of Lady Astor by Adrian Fort (Jonathan Cape)

·         The Burden of Power by Alastair Campbell (Hutchinson)

Polemic of the Year

·         Britain for Sale by Alex Brummer (Cornerstone)

·         Geek Manifesto by Mark Henderson (Bantam Press)

Political History Book of the Year

·         Fascist Voices by Christopher Duggan (Bodley Head)

·         The Road Not Taken by Frank McLynn (Bodley Head)

Political Humour/Satire Book of the Year

·         Eminent Elizabethans by Piers Brendon (Jonathan Cape)

·         House of Fun by Simon Hoggart (Guardian Books)

Political Fiction Book of the Year

·         Skagboys by Irvine Welsh (Jonathan Cape)

·         Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan (Jonathan Cape)
