Three Random House Group titles have been picked for the Richard and Judy Summer Book Club, exclusive to WHS, which returns this month with an extra two titles.

Random House titles The Fear Index by Robert Harris (Arrow); The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (Vintage); and The Secrets Between Us by Louise Douglas (Bantam Press) are on the 10-strong list, which launches with Victoria Hislop’s The Thread (Headline Review).

One book will be launched each week in WHS stores nationwide and online from tomorrow (24th May), with extra bonus material in the back of the titles.

R&J will unite with the Reading Agency for the first time to help readers find a local reading group via their website www.richardandjudy.co.uk. WHS has launched a campaign offering book clubs 50% off when they purchase six or more copies of any of the R&J titles via www.whsmith.co.uk. A buy one get one for £1 promotion will also launch in high street stores across the country from tomorrow (24th may). 

Live webchats with the 10 authors will take place each week via the Richard & Judy Facebook page, with R&J’s podcast series also to return.

Madeley said: “As the Book Club continues to grow, we want to be able to offer
readers more titles and exclusive bonus content to get their teeth into—particularly over
the summer, when we can all take a little more time out to read."

According to the chain, over 4.5m copies of Richard and Judy WHSmith Book Club titles have been sold to date.
