Jonathan Cape has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excl. Ebury had a great start to the Edinburgh International Book Festival on Sunday with a headline event for Sarah Brown at which she was joined by Gordon who surprised the crowd and followed Sarah's talk with an impassioned speech on many of the issues currently affecting the country. Olympic legend Tommie Smith visits Time Out exhibition

For the last month Time Out has held an exhibition of prints from Olympic Games Through a Lens at Foyles.  Well, it turns out news of our exhibition has travelled far and wide... One of the photos featured was the iconic shot of Tommie Smith standing on top of the podium in Mexico City in 1968 having won the 200m gold and giving the Black Power salute, along with fellow athlete John Carlos.  Tommie actually arrived in the UK and he was so delighted to hear about his inclusion at the exhibition and he popped down to Foyles today to see the picture.
