The World of Mick Foley:

Mick has appeared on countless TV shows in the US: including Good Morning America, Larry King, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He has also appeared in films and on commercials worldwide.

He won 50% of the votes for TIME Magazine's 'Man of the Year' annual poll (Wrestling fans turned out in droves to vote, but TIME eliminated Mick from the voting, so they could 'give' the award to Bill Clinton).

He has a reputation for enduring more pain than anyone else in wrestling: he's lost 4 front teeth and part of his ear, broken numerous bones, set himself on fire several times, landed on explosives and received over 300 stitches. (Most of this happened during his early career when he was earning peanuts!).

At school, he dreamt of becoming a professional wrestler and entertained his classmates by performing wrestling feats such as jumping off the roof of his house onto an opponent lying on a mattress below. Still in college, Foley began driving 400 miles each weekend to train at a wrestling school and would hitchhike across the country to see his favourite wrestling superstars.

His autobiographies touch on everything from the controversy surrounding "backyard wrestling" and the fight of the 'Parental TV Council', to the trials and tribulations of dealing with a fickle media as a Federation superstar.

He is now retired from wrestling, having worked for a time as a Commissioner for the WWF (writing their crazy plot lines).

He lives with his wife (a model) and children on Long Island, New Jersey. He has a room in his house which is dedicated to Christmas all year round, containing a grotto, reindeers and fairy lights!
