Please feel free to write to us with your
memories of childhood games and beliefs, or with any questions
you may have about the project.
If you do decide to write, please remember to include:
Your name – We won’t publish
any full names without permission, but we do need some way
of distinguishing between the contributions we receive. If
you would prefer to use a made-up name, that would also be
fine.
Whether you are male or female - This will
help us see the differences between boys' play and girls'
play over the years.
The year in which you were born –
This is essential so that we can develop a picture of how
customs and games have changed over time.
The place where you went to school when you were
between the ages of 6 and 11 – This information
will help us piece together how children’s play differs
from region to region.
Whether your school was private or state
– The way children behave has in the past been shown
to be very different in private and state schools. We’d
like to find out if this is still the case.
Ethnic origin (optional) – You certainly
don’t need to tell us your ethnic origin if you would
prefer not to, but it would help us to explore the differences
and the similarities in the way children from different ethnic
backgrounds play.
Please also get in touch if you are a teacher or youth leader
and would like to get the children you know involved in the
survey.
