Hello again.

It seems hard to believe a year has passed since I introduced the last Newsletter on publication of my latest novel. Now here we are, hoping to entice new readers and welcoming back old friends. As the newest Falco story appears, you will find here ordering details for the books and dates and venues for the main events in my promotional tour. There is also a serious (well, almost serious!) piece about how I use archaeology in my work, plus the usual spoof interview with a character who is. important in the new story. This time Petronius Longus has to face interrogation about his life and his career. I like to have a contribution from one of the Team - the people who work so hard behind the scenes to produce and promote my novels. 'They can be rather shy, but we have prevailed upon Cassie, Chadderton, who organises publicity, to tell you how she sees it. We, are approaching our tour this year with caution, as Cassie is expecting her first baby; I have a plan to, cover any emergencies, which involves carrying a bottle of olive oil (keen readers will remember why, from A Dying Light in, Corduba).

On a personal note, I am looking forward to my, year as Chair of the Crime Writers 'Association, acting as spokesperson for my professional colleagues. It is an honour and a great responsibility though not so great as the responsibility to keep Falco readers happy! I hope The Jupiter Myth will do just that.
