Roddy Doyle
Roddy Doyle was born in Dublin in 1958. He is the author of five previous novels. The Commitments. The Snapper. The Van. Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha and the Women Who walked into doors.
His first novel, The Commitments, was made into a hugely successful film by Alan Parker.

Roddy Doyle's acclaimed 1993 Booker prize winning novel, Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha has the distinction of being the bestselling winner in the history of the prize.
