Synopsis

A sweeping historical novel set in Russia and England in the 1870s. Lousie Defour's life is idyllic. The love-child of a British diplomat and Russian dancer, she wants for nothing. But when her parents are killed by a bomb, she finds herself penniless and alone, and must travel to England to meet a half-sister who did not even know of her existence.
