It is a great honour to be chosen as a Rider. I have compiled these papers for you as an introduction to the most important peoples, places and things within Alagaësia. Study them most carefully, for some day your life may depend upon this information. Mine has, and more than once.
This is a full-colour extravaganza, an exploration deep into the world of Alagaësia, as told by Eragon himself, hero of ERAGON, ELDEST and BRISINGR. In fifteen lavishly illustrated spreads, the reader is invited to explore the landscape and cities of Alagaësia and its many races, including dragons, humans, Urgals, dwarves and elves. Each spread is filled with special effects and stunning examples of paper engineering and other elements.

I recommend the book Eragon and its sequel Eldest by Christopher Paolini, to any readers who like magic and dragons. The film of Eragon is out in cinemas now too, but i think if you read the book first you can have your own picture of the character without your imagination being taken away by the screen! - Aquila
Christopher Paolini was educated at home by his parents. His abiding love of fantasy and science fiction inspired him to begin writing his debut novel, Eragon, when he graduated from high school at fifteen. He became a New York Times bestselling author at nineteen. Christopher lives in Montana, USA, where the dramatic landscape fed his vision of Alagaesia. Inheritance, the final book in the sequence, will be published in November 2011.
