Children's Books has seven main imprints under its roof. Five of these produce
hardback books: The Bodley Head, David Fickling Books, Doubleday, Hutchinson
and Jonathan Cape. Our two paperback imprints are Corgi and Red Fox.
Within these imprints there are a variety of 'series' with specific identities,
or aims
for example, geared towards a particular age group. Listed

Flying Foxes
Ages 5+
Where ideas take flight. Specifically aimed at KS1 of the National Curriculum.
Brilliant and engaging stories, which introduce children aged five and
up to a wide variety of key curriculum topics, with activity suggestions
and author biographies.
Corgi Pups
Ages 5+
Corgi Pups are perfect for beginner readers. With short clear text and
black-and-white illustrations on every spread, they bridge the gap between
picture books and chapter books.

Young Corgi
Ages 6+
Designed with large type, short chapters and imaginative black-and-white
illustrations, Young Corgi books are ideal for encouraging confidence
in the development of solo reading.
Fox Tales
Ages 6+
Each book contains three short stories based on known picture book characters
with integrated line illustrations. These are ideal for building confidence
in readers aged six and up.

Red Fox Classics
Ages 9+
Red Fox Classics confirm the timeless quality of a good story. A selection
from our rich heritage of modern classics, creating a collection for a
generation of new readers.
Definitions
Ages 12+
Dazzling and substantial writing. The finest in contemporary fiction for
young adults is in Definitions. Helping to bridge the gap between children's
books and adult fiction, this list includes writers such as Aidan Chambers,
Adele Geras and Dodie Smith.
