Linda Newbery is the author of over twenty books for children and young adults, and lives in an Oxfordshire village with her husband and three cats. She has been twice shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal and won the Whitbread Children's Award in 2007 with SET IN STONE, her third novel with David Fickling Books.
