William Heinemann is a part of Cornerstone Publishing

William Heinemann is one of the oldest literary imprints still publishing today. Founded in 1890, the imprint boasts both a rich literary heritage and a forward-thinking, cutting-edge list of contemporary fiction and non-fiction.

William Heinemann publishes acclaimed fiction from both sides of the Atlantic (Douglas Coupland, James Ellroy, Tim Pears, Ray Robinson, Nick Harkaway, John Niven, Paul Harding, Johanna Skibsrud) and in translation (Michel Houellebecq and Yasmina Khadra), as well as some of the best upmarket crime and thriller writers (Thomas Harris, Kathy Reichs, Donna Leon, Don Winslow and Richard Montanari).

The non-fiction list is an eclectic mix that includes history, current affairs, reportage, popular culture, popular science, memoir and narrative non-fiction from authors such as Azar Nafisi, Andrea Wulf, Tony Judt, Ben Mezrich, Antonio Damasio, Liaquat Ahamed, Heather Brooke and John Szwed.
